There are traditionally two types of electric bicycles. These are commonly referred to as "power-on-demand" electric bicycles, and "power-assist" electric bicycles. Power-on-demand ebikes do not require the option to manually pedal the vehicle, although this capability is provided. Power-assist ebikes require manual pedaling, assisted by the electric motor as desired, or required by the operator, for example, to surmount a steep grade, or simply make pedaling easier after a long ride.

Veloteq hybrid electric bicycles are constructed of aluminum alloy. The rugged frames, rims, pedals and pedal arms, stands, racks and accessories are light weight and corrosion resistant, insuring many years of trouble free use. The rapid recharge Lithium Ion battery weighs only slightly over six pounds.

The Ranger Trail Bike features a cushioned gel seat, front end dual hydraulic shock absorbers, and front and rear disc brakes to insure safe stopping under all road conditions. it is capable of travel in excess of 30 miles with minimal pedal assistance or 15 miles using power only.

3-Way Flexibility

Veloteq now introduces the 3-Way Hybrid electric bicycle. The Ranger is capable of pedal power only, using a 7-speed Shimano transmission, power-assist mode, using both pedal and electrical assist, and power-on-demand mode in which no pedaling is required.
